Autiero Company was founded in Campania, Italy in the mid 1950s and specialized in lining sector. The company then started changing the way of business, importing and distributing linen fabrics form Ireland.

The first big turning point in the Autiero history occurred in the early 60s, thanks to a commercial and cultural phenomenon that would definitely change the history of the Campania region: the famous “Positano fashion style”.

When the economic and touristic boom occurred in the early 60s tailor shops were established just to satisfy the increasing demand in female and male garment. A sector that was mostly devoted to natural fibres such as linen and cotton.

Around the early 90s, after having developed decades of experience as “converter”, the Company increases its relationship with China and started silk fabric imports. In this time the company had only dealt with garment producers, and decided to finally modify their vision. Thanks to its experience and with the help of agents, Autiero company starts to show its collection to “Converters” , collecting success in this sector. It was important to apprehend the positive feedback from new customers because it allowed us to continue moving forward in the right direction. Over time high profile customers started showing their interest in  the Autiero collection. 

In the 2000s, Autiero establishes a weaving mill, in Hangzhou China, after a strong demand of big silk fabric quantities. The factory was equipped with 150 weaving looms and its own Quality control centre.

Autiero becomes direct producer, changing its core business into production and directly imports from China. The demand of top-quality fabric increases, and the market becomes more demanding. This situation leads the company to a cooperation with other weaving companies, developing high-level fabrics that still represent Autiero Specialization.

Today Autiero S.p.A. is one of the most well-known and reliable companies specialized in fabrics 100% silk and mixed with other fibers (viscose, linen, cotton, wool etc.).

Our company structure includes offices in Shandong and in Zhejiang. Right in Hangzhou our skilled technicians carry out an attentive quality control before any shipment. Our steady presence in the Chinese market, always in evolution, allows us keep a high-level quality standard, a feature really appreciated by our customers.

Today Autiero S.p.A. has its core business at Interporto di Nola, an international logistics platform connected to the main freight distribution platforms through four modes of transport: rail, road, air, and sea.
